Work parties were found mainly for the fire-trenches.

Enemy artillery again active on our billeting area; ‘A’ Company mess receiving the 4th shell on the 7th (December). Three men were wounded (one died of wounds).

The Battalion was relieved by the 13th Kings Royal Rifle Corps on the 8th (December) at 17:00 hrs and went into billets at Humbercamps.

One of those wounded on the 7th December was Private Harold Dagger.
